The Original Madras Trading Company est le fruit de la rencontre entre le Madras et l’industrie vestimentaire New Yorkaise au début des années 70. Depuis, la maison Original Madras Trading Company fabrique et fournie du Madras pour les plus grands labels Américains (J Crew, Ralph Lauren etc).

Original Madras Trading Company a récemment lancé sa propre ligne de vêtements composée exclusivement d’étoffes tissées à la main, mixant influences contemporaines et tenue traditionnelle indienne.
